Finished poppy painting

The yellows used in the field made of Indian yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Winsor yellow

The poppies were mainly Cadmium Red, Permanent Rose, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Red Deep.

Covering the canvas in colour with slightly thinned paint and mapping in where tree and poppies will go.

Starting the canvas I have discovered the best brush size for the initial stage is a 1inch brush. poppies at this stage were painted mainly with cadmium red a colour which takes longer than usual to dry.
